The NeuroGym Rehabilitation Clinic is re-opening as of June 8, 2020 for in-person one-on-one therapy sessions. Virtual appointments via tele-rehab continue to be scheduled as well. Please refer to the information below to learn more.


Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, we have instituted extensive safety measures for the health and well-being of our clients and our employees. These precautions include comprehensive disinfection procedures and limitations to the number of people who may enter the clinic at any one time. All visits to the clinic are by appointment only.

For current clients, we will be in touch with you to discuss the new measures and for scheduling your appointment. New clients are welcome to contact the clinic by telephone or email to schedule an assessment. Please note that, in accordance with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists guidelines, one of our registered Physiotherapists will evaluate whether an in-person or virtual rehab appointment is most appropriate. Our primary concern is to keep everyone as safe as possible during this time. The ‘new-normal’ is challenging for all, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

While all safety measures will be discussed with each client prior to their scheduled appointment, please review the following prior to attending:

  • Only clients and essential visitors/attendants may enter the clinic. Clients who can attend without accompaniment are strongly encouraged to do so.
  • Essential visitors/attendants cannot wait in the waiting room during the client’s appointment
  • All persons entering the clinic must:
    • Sanitize hands
    • Wear a mask
    • Complete COVID-19 Screening prior to being cleared to proceed to the treatment area

If you do not have a mask, a disposable mask will be provided to you at cost of $3.00

Note that public washrooms in the building are NOT maintained /disinfected by NeuroGym employees. Clients/visitors use these at their own risk. Using the washrooms during a rehab session will be for emergency situations only.


In some cases, virtual rehabilitation sessions, in which the NeuroGym therapist communicates with you over the internet, may be safer and more appropriate for your situation. We also offer the option of renting NeuroGym equipment in combination with your virtual sessions. Specialized equipment along with the direction of an experienced therapist can enable motor recovery when it would otherwise be difficult or impossible to accomplish.

We offer a free 15-30 minute consultation before the first telerehabilitation session so that you can see how the technology works, consult with the Physiotherapist about what therapy options we can offer you and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Most private health care plans are covering telerehabilitation physiotherapy sessions during COVID-19. We suggest you call your insurance company to discuss and confirm coverage.

NeuroGym Rehab teletherapy is offered via a secure online system called Insig Health. To participate in virtual sessions, clients receive a link by email and do not need to download any software. A device with a camera such as a laptop, iPad, desktop computer or smartphone and internet will be required. In some cases, it may be necessary to have a family member/session partner available to assist with training.
